Maths in R3
We have using the numicon shapes to help us with our maths learning. We are learning to build the shapes into a staircase and what number each shape represents. Some of us are using the shapes to add of numbers together.
House Groups
On Thursday afternoon we had some visitors from the senior classes come and help us. We made houses out of paper to identify which house group.
It was lots of fun working working with the seniors and having them help us.

How can we feed the lions without getting your hand bitten off?
We decided that if we didn't have grabbers from last week then we could make a food delivery system that would let us roll food from the zookeepers office to the lion enclosure!

Room 2 STEAM - Can we rescue our keys from the lion enclosure?
Today in STEAM room 2 explored the problems with trying to feed the lions or to get your keys back if you happened to loose them in the enclosure.
To get our minds thinking we worked as a team to rescue a coke bottle from a dangerous circle of "radio active waste and land mines" by stretching a rubber band using string, lowering it over the bottle and then moving it co-operatively.

We then made model "grabbers" using rope and tubes.
Next week we are going to make really big ones.

Working hard
On Friday we practised our maths skills. Mr Morgan played a dice game with some of the class while the rest of us worked independently on our maths. Ella worked so well by herself that Mr Morgan just had to take a photo. Nice job Ella
