I can write

In Room 8 we read the book, I can write.

We have been practising writing in lots of different places and ways.  We are getting very clever at writing.

Hockey Skills

In the afternoons we have been learning hockey skills with Sonia and Sarah.  

We are learning how to

• hold a hockey stick
• hit the ball
• trap the ball

We are having lots of fun!

Junior Cross Country

On Thursday we had a good time running in our junior cross country. We had to run through the sandpit, around the big tree, past the staffroom and jump over the benches. It was a fun day. Congratulations to everyone who tried their hardest.

Caring

We have learning about caring in Room 1.  We have been practicing taking turns, sharing, including others, using kind words and looking after the different things in the classroom.

More and Less

In Maths we have been learning how to compare things.  We had to use words like hot and cold, heavier and lighter and more and less.

We really enjoyed this learning as it was really hands on.  We used the scales to weigh things and water and containers to find out which held more.
