R9 Swimming Lesson

We got to go in the deep end at the pool. I learned how to kick using a board. I know how to swim under the water and hold my breath.

Swimming at Kings

Swimming is fun because I like playing with the noodles. I can float on the board and I can blow bubbles. I am learning to swim with the noodle.

Swimming is cool because I like getting wet. I like going  under the water. I like going on the noodle on my back. When I have  goggles I can see underwater. I am learning to go underwater to get the rings.

Working together

Room 4 and room 9 are beginning to work together. We are collaborating. In the next few weeks we will start working with room 2 and sometimes with room 3.
We got into groups of 4 and made a brainstorm of all the facts we know about Antarctic Exploration. We learned at the museum that Roald Amundsen won the race with Robert Falcon Scott to be the first man to reach the South Pole. We also found out that Sir Edmund Hillary was the first person to go to the South Pole since Scott and he did his trip in a tractor.
We talked with each other and wrote words and drew pictures to show our learning and then we shared with the group our work.
We are learning to share our space, our work and our ideas.
