Sharks

In Room 3 we read a non fiction book about sharks.  We also saw a you tube clip of the sharks at the Melbourne aquarium.  We enjoyed learning some new things about sharks and had a go at writing our own true stories about sharks.  We used our writing to make books and we painted a picture of a shark.

We found out that a great white shark can grow up to 6 metres, we measured it out using our bodies.

Look at how fantastic our books about sharks look.

Here is our awesome writing.

Ice Cream Making

We made ice cream in Room 3.  We put cream, sugar and vanilla into a little bag.  In a big bag we put ice and salt.  Then we put the little bag inside the big made and squished it and shook it until the cream mixture turned into ice cream.
Next time we would squish and shake it more as it was a little bit runny but it still tasted really yum!

Cluster Celebration

We were very excited to be part of the Junior Cultural group.  Here we are all dressed up and ready to perform at the Cluster Celebration held at Casebrook Intermediate.

Our Learner Qualities

In the morning we enjoy participating in a range of activities while Mrs Oldfield takes reading groups. During this time our learning is focused around the learner qualities of being a team player, relating to others and being self managed.

We are working together to complete a puzzle.

We are making envelopes for the letter of the week.
We are sharing the equipment and developing our fine motor skills while cutting, colouring and writing.

We are taking turns to play the game.
During this time we also enjoy drinking our milk in schools.

We are working together to complete the fish puzzle.
